Our Stories: A Showcase of Jewish Pluralism

JIMENA: Jews Indigenous to the Middle East & North Africa and Reboot will be holding a young adult storytelling showcase on Monday, June 22nd to commemorate Sephardic culture and Jewish pluralism. The program aims to increase awareness of diverse Jewish experiences while also celebrating the bonds that tie us together.

Headquartered in San Francisco, JIMENA endeavors to address the existing gaps in the historical narrative of the Jewish peoplehood by sharing the Mizrahi and Sephardi story. Recognizing this as an opportunity for other Jewish groups to also share their remarkable stories, this event is proudly brought to you by a number of cosponsors.

Young adult attendees will be given the opportunity to learn storytelling tactics that highlight their Jewish identity, as well as meet and interact with other community members. The event will feature the Six-Word Memoirs on Jewish Life project, a partnership of Smith Magazine and Reboot, an interactive identity board, and the opportunity to participate in JIMENA’s digital experience booth.

This event is co-sponsored by Be’chol Lashon, Keshet, and Moishe House San Francisco.
