Film Screening of: Sayed Kashua: Forever Scared
Novelist, Haaretz columnist, and the force behind the popular sitcom Arab Labor, Sayed Kashua has long been one of Israel's most celebrated cultural figures. As an Arab writing in Hebrew, however, he has negotiated a difficult place as an outsider. Dorit Zimbalist's film accompanies Kashua as he challenges the perspectives of both Jews and Arabs, revealing the emotional costs of this conflicted identity on both Kashua and his family.
2009, 53 minutes, in Hebrew and Arabic with English subtitles.
