Café Kassit in Tel Aviv, a new play in Hebrew

The play takes place on a single night in a well-known Tel Aviv café in the late 50’s, the haunt of three generations of artists, poets, and bohemians. It focuses on the second bridging generation of Leah Goldberg, Natan Alterman, and Natan Zach. A fascinating cross-sectional dramatic and musical presentation of a foundational period in the development of Israeli culture. In this microcosm of Israel of the late 50’s, stories emerge and compete of idealism, betrayal, passion, and love.

This is your opportunity to sit in a Tel Aviv café of yesteryear, without the jet lag, the parking problems, or the humidity.

Performed by Bamah Ivrit, the Israeli community theater group comprised of 12 actors and three musicians under the direction of Ofra Daniel.
