Simon Wiesenthal was immortalized on film by Ben Kingsley and Laurence Olivier. He was a Holocaust survivor who dedicated his life to hunting down Nazis, and a hero in the eyes of many. Yet some criticized his pursuit of a past that many wanted to forget. Israeli journalist and historian Tom Segev reveals the fascinating truth behind Wiesenthal’s life, including the capture of Adolf Eichmann, his controversial investigative techniques and his rivalry with Elie Wiesel.
