Not a donor? We invite you to join us to help build and sustain our vibrant Jewish community here, in Israel and around the world. Make a gift to the Jewish Community Federation’s 2011 Annual Campaign (suggested minimum contribution for admission to FedFest is $36).


Our celebration features simultaneous sessions with leaders in all fields of Jewish life: philanthropy, music, literature, film, family rituals, history, foreign affairs, and more. All members of our Jewish community are invited to come together as JCF supporters for FedFest 100.

Food options
A vegetarian buffet lunch will be served from 12 – 2 PM. Lunch for adults and children must have been pre-ordered. A very limited number of lunches will be available for purchase the day of the event. During Fedfest the cafe at the Mission Bay Conferrence Center will be closed.

Talking to Your Teenagers about Sex
Jamie Simon, Camp Director at Camp Tawonga, will lead you through the ups and downs of talking to your teenager about sex, dating and relationships. This is a unique opportunity for parents to clarify their own values and learn how to have this sometimes difficult conversation. Jamie uses guided meditation, group work, and open dialogue in this workshop.
How Young Bay Area Jews Juggle Multiple Identities
In partnership with Be’chol Lashon and the JCF LGBT Alliance, young adults raised in interfaith, multi-racial, and gay and lesbian households and LGBT youth, will talk about their Jewish identities in a changing, complex environment.

Sarah Lefton, creator of G-dcast will lead a group of innovative Jewish educators in showing parents how easy it is to bring Jewish moments into the home every day. This workshop will provide ideas, resources and practical tools. Lefton will also feature her G-dcast cartoon series.

David BrooksNew York Times Op-Ed columnist David Brooks will address this question through research described in his recently published book The Social Animal. Brooks will discuss how people have related to one another for most of this past century.

George ShultzJCF Board President Jim Koshland and JCF CEO Jennifer Gorovitz will present former U.S. Secretary of State, the Honorable George Shultz, the Federation Centennial Award for his extraordinary efforts in the freeing of Soviet Jews. Celebrate the Federation’s centennial year as we share in a toast to our Jewish future. The UC Berkeley Hillel Acapella Group will also perform.
