Balkan Beat BoxThe Balkan Beat Box

Israel in the Gardens is proud to announce The Balkan Beat Box as headliners for 2012! For the uninitiated, Balkan Beat Box first burst out of New York City’s underground music scene in 2005, with a self-titled debut that introduced the world to their Mediterranean-inflected, globalized electronica sound. Founded by Israeli-born ex-pats Ori Kaplan (ex-Gogol Bordello), Tamir Muskat (ex-Firewater), the band built their reputation on explosive live shows. BBB soon added frequent collaborator Tomer Yosef asfrontman – his wild onstage energy galvanizing live audiences ever since. Watch the music video for their song, "Part of the Glory".

Efrat GoshEfrat Gosh and the Peatot

Leading singer/songwriter with vocal influences from Billie Holiday to Edith Piaf from Herzliya joins Israel in th Gardens with The Peatot based here in the Bay Area. The Peatot pays tribute to Israeli music from the past four decades. Delivering a unique, exciting, and uplifting celebration of music that we all know and love. Watch the music video for her song "Ah Ah Ah".

Voca PeopleThe Voca People

And Israeli phenomena that landed over 10 million views on YouTube, now on their international tour, following a successful run Off-Broadway. The  Voca People are a group of "aliens" who match a cappella singing with the art of beat box creating a near unbelievable range of sounds and instruments. See the video that made them famous! They will perform at Marines Memorial Theatre in SF 6/5-6/17.
