This course designed by Rabbi Menachem Creditor takes place over three Wednesday nights (October 6, 20 and 27) and will feature Bay Area Masorti Visiting Scholar Rabbi Avi Novis-Deutsch.

As this is a sensitive topic, one that Rabbi Menachem Creditor is committed to having in this community, the course will study texts, share conversations, and explore the realities confronting Israeli society in its struggle to be both Equal and Pluralistic to all its inhabitants.

Specifically, the course intends to cover the status and difficulty in Israel of the following much-talked about communities: 1) Charedim (“ultra-Orthodox”) 2) Arab-Israelis 3) Mizrachi/Sephardi Jews 4) Russian and Ethiopian Olim 5) The GLBTQ community
