Auditions for Hallelujah Singing Contest Began!
Hallelujah aims to reconnect Jewish young people (18-30) from around the world with their Jewish identity, history, tradition, and with Israel.

30 participants will be invited to compete in the contest in Israel for 1 month. All expenses in Israel (except for flight to Israel) are covered by hallelujah!
Hallelujah is a global project aiming to reconnect Jewish young people from around the world with their Jewish identity, history, tradition, and with Israel through a modern American Idol-style music contest.
The Hallelujah contest accepts Jewish singers ages 18 to 30 from all over the world. Thousands of talented, Jewish singers will submit their videos. Those selected by the judges will be invited to Israel and get a real chance of become the next singing sensation. The competitors will take singing lessons and rehearse with top Israeli musicians, travel the country, and connect with Jewish and Israeli roots through modern music.
Hallelujah's government, community and corporate partners include the Israel Prime Minister's Office, Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taglit Birthright, MASA, Israel Broadcasting Authority, the Jerusalem Post, and many others.
How the Hallelujah Contest works:
Contestants will be hand picked by our Team of Judges which consists of know personalities like Yehoram Gaon, Dudu Fisher, Yoram Teharlev, and Tzahi Halevi. All applicants must register and send their video recording (of a song in any language) online through our website. After April 30, 100 chosen applicants will be asked to send a second audition of a song in Hebrew (pronunciation will not be taken into consideration at this stage). From this group, 30 contestants will be selected and invited to Israel for 1 month (all expenses in Israel paid except for their ticket). Once in Israel they will be given Hebrew pronunciation lessons, will rehearse for the semifinals and final contest, tour the country, and meet many other young Jewish adults which share their passion for music. All the 30 participants will perform in a live concert broadcast live on national TV. A cash prize will be awarded to first, second, and third place. The first place and winner of Hallelujah 2012 will receive a cash prize, opportunities for career advancement, and a professional recording of a single.
