From Buenos Aires Argentina, LOS PINGUOS, bring a night of Latin rhythms & vivacious beats, Music & Dancing to Kanbar Center @ the Osher Marin JCC in San Rafael. The Kanbar Center celebrates world music, culture, and dance with upbeat & energetic Latin rhythms from cosmopolitan Buenos Aires. A pre-event Latin dance lesson sets the evening, as Los Pinguos will keep you dancing throughout the night and guarantees an evening of fun. Los Pinguos has been featured on two Putamaya CD compilations and has fans growing in number world wide.
These days Los Pinguos can be seen performing at World Music Festivals to Performing Arts Centers across the nation and beyond. Experience them in the Hoytt Theater at Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts in San Rafael. Sit back at an intimate lantern lit cabaret table while sipping a cocktail, or spend the night on the beautiful wooden dance floor moving to great Latin rhythms.

Los Pinguos came to the US from cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a mixture of Latin rhythms, performed with Spanish guitars, a Cuban Tres, Peruvian cajon (box-drum), bass and harmonizing vocals. Vivacious and infectious, the sound of Los Pinguos has claimed fans worldwide with their exciting live performances
Their music was featured in the Antonio Banderas & Emma Thompson film, "Imaging Argentina" they were invited to the Sundance Film Festival to perform with Suzanne Vega, were signed to a major publishing deal and have been featured on two compilation CD's with Putamaya, the most established world music label.
The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts is the Performing Arts Department within the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center in San Rafael, California. Originally known as "CenterStage" they have spread the power of music, voice, humor, taste, culture, movement and words throughout the community for over 20 years.
