We are pleased to present the LGBT Alliance Study, A Needs Assessment of the San Francisco Bay Area LGBT Jewish Community. This study was conducted from 2008 – 2009 and published in 2010 by Jewish Mosaic: The National Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity. The research for this study was directed by Dr. Caryn Aviv and overseen by the LGBT Alliance Planning and Advisory Group (PAG) of the Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay and the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, The Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties between 2008 and 2009.
This study is recognized as the crucial first step of the broad-based community planning effort towards the creation of Celebrating Distinctions, A LGBT Alliance Strategic Plan and was made possible by the generous supporters of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, The Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, the Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay, Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund and the Walter & Elise Haas Fund.
