Employment & Workforce Development
Demand for services from Jewish Vocational Service has doubled since the start of the recession. Actual client intake at JVS is up 50% and JVS is now carrying a caseload of more than 5,400 clients.

To meet the current rising needs, JVS requires additional full-time employment specialist staff to provide job placement assistance to laid off workers and others affected by the region's skyrocketing unemployment.

Emergency financial assistance to address this increased demand for career counseling, job search skills, and job placement, in addition to normal operating support and programmatic grants, is possible because donors like you give generously for such urgent community needs.
